Pakai braces dan loosing weight

Lepas almost 50 orang dentist offer diri nak betulkan gigi at cheaper rate, I kinda scared.. Mental masih tak bersedia nak bagi orang repair gigi. Tapi, the biggest challenge for me is.. How to eat like normal if i wear braces??

So, one day sis contact partner. Bukan ape, nak survey dulu sebab kalau kawan dia akan recommend yang lebih elok + honest opinion. So, I was like.. Hey, i want to fix my teeth after being harassed by dentist that attended the workshop. Haha. But, without expecting anything he offered me one good deal. To do it for FREE but, I need to sign the consent to be the patient cum lab rat for master student ortho. LOLs..

They said the cost is around RM 9000 in total, but I can do it for free if i am selected to be the patient. So, I came to do screening and after a week they told me that I am selected. I was like scarysited (scared + excited). Then, a week after the dentist call me to intro herself and asking me to do OPG & Lateral Ceph x-ray and teeth impression.

Yang ni teeth impression. Malangnya impression ni patah sebab terkena laptop. Haha.. 

Sis terpaksa pegi clinic lain nak buat x-ray dengan impression ni. Sebab tak semua clinic gigi ada x-ray machine. Total cost RM200 untuk 2 x-ray & teeth impression. Buat dekat Imperial Dental Bangsar. 

The next day kena jumpa dentist untuk first appointment letak bracket. Procedure tu tak sakit langsung sebenarnya. Cuma, penderitaan sebenar muncul the next day. 


Camni la rupa dia. Tapi, belum pasang lagi belah atas. Disebabkan benda ni, sis takleh makan benda keras sebab takleh kunyah. Kunyah atas besi okay. Setiap orang treatment berbeza. Balik clinic buat braces tu, sis pegi KFC beli snack plate, burger, sekali dengan hot tea. Lapar pulak lepas 2 jam duduk atas chair. 

Dah seminggu tak makan nasi. Bukan ape, sebab benci butir nasi tu tersangkut kat besi. Even makan megi pun rasa benci. Everyday diet sis hanya makan oat, nestum 3-in-1, milo. Now, I am thinking.. Boleh kut makan pasta spiral tu. Sardin, salmon guarantee okay. The best food ever ialah pisang. Sebab ada cooling effect. Lepastu senang nak kunyah. Dia tak tersekat langsung. 

Day-2 bibir jadi kering. Day-3 besi dah start mencucuk dekat belakang. Tap belum ada ulcer. Aku siap picit2 pipi supaya besi tak tercucuk. Aihhh stress. Day-4 sis makan kacang 2 biji saje test power. Tapi, sebenarnya makan guna balance gigi kat belakang yg belum kena ikat. Day-6 makan curry mee kat Secret. Macam okay. Day-7 makan pizza handmade yang soft. 

So, yeah.. sis berjaya survive seminggu. Yeayyy!!

Lagi satu, sejak pakai braces ni.. Berat turun 100g sehari. Yesss.. imagine nak makan nasik satu senduk pun ambik masa 20min. So semua benda cepat kenyang.

Trip Penang kali ni macam tiba-tiba je rasa nak pegi. So, lepas kerja terus gerak drive ke Penang. Sepanjang perjalanan hujan lebattttt gila...
